Wow….it’s been so long since I’ve blogged about anything! It takes a lot of patience to put a post together (which I dont have much of! Lol) I thought I better update on some new changes before I get too far behind!
The family room has new bamboo blinds, the antique herbariums are hung as well as the television, and I got two adorable antique putti/cherubs from 1st Dibs. I have always had a thing for cherubs and love when I see them incorporated in a rooms design. These were a major splurge and I had wanted some for quite some time, so when I saw them I was in love! I felt so guilty after spending the money though that I gave my husband my credit cards and told him to hide them somewhere I’d never find them!

Isn’t he the cutest?? The other one went on the mantel

I love how the room is still plenty sunny but just not so intense, and I love all the texture these blinds add.
I’ve ordered a new coffee table as well

The Allie cocktail table by Lillan August here
I think the square shape will fit the space better. Can’t wait to see it in the room!
That’s it for now, there’s plentry more going on but I’ve got to save some for another post! Hope everyone is doing well and having a great weekend. The weather here is wonderful

Super pretty…you have some heirlooms here.
Than you. I am very excited to own them. They are both 19th C Italian
Your family room looks beautiful. It is really nice that you are able to buy important pieces that will keep their value.
Hope you are having a nice weekend!
Heather
Thank you Heather. I should be spending my money on the big kitchen reno that I so desperately need and not the details yet, but I get ahead of myself! I’m a sucker for beautiful old artifacts
Wow, your family room looks soooo gorgeous! I just adore your check settees….they are so stunning! Your new little cherubs are beautiful too! It’s good to treat yourself every once in a while and splurge on something you might now otherwise buy

You have great taste!! Love it..
would you mind sharing where your window treatments came from?
Could they be peyton drapes from PB?
Thanks
Janet
Thank you Janet. The drapes are linen from Restoration Hardware
Wow, I love what you’ve done with your home, and the before & afters are inspiring. I arrived at your blog via the CDT post and have now been navigating it all day! Would you mind sharing where your woven shades came from in the family room? I’ve been searching for such a subtle gray but to no avail….
